'Splatoon 2' Global Testfire to ink Nintendo Switches around the world
The Nintendo Switch has been selling as fast as it hits retailers’ shelves in the few weeks it has been available. While the first-party titles were limited to a new, amazing Zelda adventure and a party game collection designed to show off the motion controllers, the company is gearing up for more fun and excitement in the coming months.
Nintendo’s hit title, “Splatoon,” was a great success for the Wii U gaming console, and they are hoping “Splatoon 2” will do the same for the Switch. At a hands-on event in Washington, D.C., prior to launch, players were challenged in a 4 vs. 4 battle involving the inky combatants in the game.
This weekend, Nintendo will be taking the game in the wild for a test drive during the “Splatoon 2” Global Testfire during specific time slots on March 24, 25, and 26. A free demo is available for Switch owners to prepare for the test.
Splat Dualies are a new weapon type, while mainstays like the Splat Roller and Splat Charger have been remixed to allow for new battle strategies. Players can use the Joy-Cons or the Pro Controller to play the game.
Those who participate in the test will need a Wi-Fi connection to play. Time to prepare your ink.
